Coffee Morning
There is a Coffee Morning at Beryl and Jim’s, 9 Victoria Crescent, Severn Beach, on Saturday, March 16 from 10am until 12 noon. The proceeds are to be divided between Romania, the local Stitches Group and the Restoration Fund for the organ in Pilning Church. Tea, Coffee, Cakes, Tombola and Raffle are among the delights of enjoying the company of the locals. Pop in and join the fun.
Restoration
The fund for the restoration of the 220 year old organ in Pilning Church currently stands at nearly £2,300, all of which has been donated locally. The target of £3,500 was set to show that there is support from the area for this project and to realise that the instrument, recently described by an expert as “an undiscovered gem”, is well worth preserving.
