IF you are quick you can call 01454 633786 and see if you can get a ticket for tonight’s (Thursday, May 16) performance of the Village Players comedy play ‘The Boobytrap’. It starts at 7.30pm in Pilning Village Hall, and runs until Saturday evening May 18.

Fayre

SEVERN Beach School Friends are holding their Spring Fayre at the school on Saturday, May 18 from 11am until 2pm. There will be lots to do, including a barbecue, or tea and cakes etc. Lots of stalls include ‘external sellers’, games and ‘inflatable fun.’ Admission is free and all the money you spend will benefit the children at the school.

Garden party

“PLEASE don’t leave it to the last minute” says the organiser of the Buckingham Palace style Garden Party, being held on Saturday, June 1 at St Peter’s Primary School, Pilning. “We would like to know how many ‘posh’ sandwiches and mouth watering little cakes we need to prepare”.

The party gets under way at 3pm, and ‘carriages’ are called for by 6pm. It is not essential to dress up to ‘the nines’, but it will add to the flavour of the day if you can. Uniform or National Dress will be welcomed and it will be a chance to wear your medals and chains of office.
