A HOSPITAL charity is appealing for performers to get involved in a month-long busking fundraiser.

The Great Brunel Buskathon from Southmead Hospital Charity will feature many talented individuals such as singers, dancers, actors and magicians performing in the Hospital’s Brunel Building across June.

Performers are also encouraged to collect for the Buskathon at their own shows,

All money raised during the Buskathon will go towards to patients being treated at Southmead Hospital and across the North Bristol NHS Trust.

“We want to harness the power of performance throughout the month of June,” said community appeals manager, Adrian Brown.

“We know the region is bulging with talented performers of all types, and we want to ask as many as possible to ‘busk’ or perform and raise money for us at the same time.

“We’ll be hosting a variety of Buskathon performances in the Brunel Building here at Southmead Hospital for patients, staff and visitors to enjoy.

“We’d also like performers to get busy and collect for us during their own shows and in their own premises.  Perhaps a school would like to host a concert, or a band might have a gig planned and will be able to have a collection for us.

“There are countless ways you can fundraise. It could be as simple as finding an audience, putting out our collection bucket, and watch the donations come in when you start performing.”
