A NIGHTCLUB in Dursley has submitted changes to its premises licence.

Capones Nightclub in Long Street has put forward an amended premises licence application to Stroud District Council.

However, the application does not seek to alter the business's existing opening hours or mention any upcoming events.

Instead, it mentions changes to staffing levels and the operation of the nightclub, such as improved provisions for its incident book, challenge 25, staff training, and CCTV.

Its operating schedule has been listed as Thursday’s and Sunday’s from 10am to 1.30am, Friday’s and Saturday’s from 10am to 3am.

A council document reads: “Proposed amendments to conditions attached to the licence. No proposed changes to hours or activities.

“Main change is the proposal for two Security Industry Authority staff to be on duty after 12am when the premises are open. Currently the condition is four SIA staff after 10pm).

“Additional provision for a risk assessment by licence holder for events and special occasions to determine appropriate number of SIA staff needed.

“Other minor changes to existing conditions on licence to enhance provisions for incident book, challenge 25, staff training and CCTV.”

Representations can be made to the Licensing Section until Tuesday, August 1.
