THOUSANDS of determined competitors took part in two of the world's most challenging obstacle courses in the area over the weekend.
The Tough Mudder and Spartan Race both took place at the Badminton Estate with gruelling obstacles on Saturday and Sunday, August 12 and 13.
It is believed more than 8,000 individuals took part in the sold out Tough Mudder event on Saturday.
Organisers say both events aim to put your physical and mental limits to the test.
Obstacles included distances of 5k and 15K with wall climbs, wire crawls, monkey bars and of course water and mud.
Meanwhile, the Spartan beast 21K event even included a half marathon.
There was also a one mile muddy obstacle course for children.
