A GROUP of Yate residents recently were invited on a special trip to Westminster for a fully guided tour of parliament along with their MP.
Residents were treated to an insightful tour around the renowned and historic buildings, led by the parliament tour guides.
MP Luke Hall then spoke to residents about the ongoing work being done to deliver for his constituents, followed by a Q&A session where residents raised various topics including the introduction of half hourly train services from Yate to Bristol, with some residents expressing how invaluable this service has been.
Other topics included the delivery of Yate Park & Ride and introduction of Junction 18A on the M4.
Mr Hall said: "I am incredibly thankful to all the residents who made the trip up to Westminster, and for the brilliant questions and vital issues that were raised.
"Since becoming an MP, I have always spoke of the importance of residents being given a chance to visit the Houses of Parliament and I am already looking forward to our next tour planned in the coming weeks.”
