A MAN from Berkeley faces a whopping court bill for failing to identify the driver of a vehicle.

Colin Cosimini, aged 62, of Salter Street, Berkeley, failed to give police the identity of a BMW driver.

It was alleged the driver was caught breaking the 30mph limit on the A430 Secunda Way in Gloucester on August 6 last year.

The case was heard at Cheltenham Magistrates Court on March 5 and was proved via the single justice procedure.

He was fined £660 and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £264 plus £90 in costs- a total of £1,014.

He was also given six points on his licence.
