A WOMAN from a village near Yate has been charged with strangling and assaulting another woman.
Eleanor Batten, aged 39, of Cotswold Way, Hawkesbury, pleaded not guilty to one count of strangulation during an alleged incident at an address in the village on August 26 last year.
She pleaded guilty to one count of causing actual bodily harm against the same woman on the same day.
The case was heard at Bristol Crown Court on March 4.
A three-day trial on the first charge is due to start on September 23.
