A CHARMING historic 15-bed hotel in Cirencester is up for sale.

The Corinium Hotel - which is situated in Gloucester Street, Cirencester - has been put on the market for £295,000.

This Grade II listed hotel, which encompasses original 17th century features, includes a Georgian façade, Victorian extension as well as a 20th century bar, with a 21st century reception area.

It also has a carriage arch front entrance from Gloucester Street which is a nod to its place in the town’s history.

As well as plenty of cosy bedrooms, the business has a bar with 30 covers and a popular restaurant offering for 60-covers with original stone walls and timber features plus inviting open fires.

The current owners have decided to sell the business so that they can enjoy retirement.

Real estate and investment management company Colliers is handling the sale of the hotel and has encouraged any interested parties to get in touch.

Peter Brunt, from Colliers’ specialist hotels team, said: “The Corinium Hotel is in a strong position in the beautiful town of Circencester, at the heart of the Cotswolds.

"The trade at the hotel benefits from a good mix of customers who come to enjoy both food and beverage, as well as having a strong rooms business driving strong profits.

“Having been a regular customer earlier on in my career in property as our offices were next door, I’ve seen the business grow and develop and since it last changed hands there has been significant investment in the business which has resulted in an increase in room rates as well as consistent custom in the bar and restaurant.

“This is a great opportunity for someone looking to start their career in hospitality or for those wanting the experience of running their own business as they ease into retirement.”
