DURSLEY travelled to Gloucester in the first round of the cup to take on the defending County Cup champions Spartans.

The home side took the lead on a counter attack from their own end.

However, Dursley came back with two tries out wide from winger Jay Christopher.

Spartans then scored again to lead 12-10 at half-time.

The first 15 minutes of the second half was all Spartans as they scored three unanswered tries until man of the match Christopher completed his hat-trick.

Spartans then sealed the victory with two more tries before Dursley centre Sam Powell went over in the corner to score.

DURSLEY travelled to Stroud with an already depleted team.

Stroud dominated for the first ten minutes and quickly scored the first try of the day, followed rapidly with another.

Dursley responded with some heavy rucking and some quick passing saw Alfie King released on the left wing to run half the pitch and score in the corner.

After a series of rucks Dursley’s Josh Jenkins suffered an ankle injury.

With further injuries to King, Oscar Dunn, Finntan Price, Callum Scott, Nicholas Jones and Andrew Moir, Stroud were able to steadily keep the scoreboard ticking over to win convincingly.
