ENGLAND have added back rows Matt Kvesic, of Gloucester, and Sale's Josh Beaumont to their training squad for Saturday's RBS 6 Nations clash with Italy in Rome.

Kvesic and Beaumont were included in Eddie Jones' first 33-man squad but failed to make the cut for the opening match against Scotland, which was won 15-9 at Murrayfield.

Openside Kvesic and number eight Beaumont were involved in Aviva Premiership victories for their clubs over the weekend, with Kvesic helping the Cherry and Whites to victory at old rivals Bath.

England have retained a total of 27 players at their Surrey training camp ahead of the trip to Rome, including the 23 chosen to face Scotland and travelling reserves Elliot Daly and Maro Itoje.
