Yate Town Reserves 4 Southmead CS Athletic 2

YATE Town Reserves have given themselves a good chance of avoiding the drop with a 4-2 home victory over Southmead CS Athletic.

The star man for Yate was undoubtedly George Box who netted all four goals for the home side. He opened his account on 35 minute with a clinical finish from an acute angle. Southmead levelled the score on the hour mark when Rob Sivers netted from the penalty spot.

Five minutes later Yate retook the lead when Luke Corbiere cross was headed home by Box. Box completed his hattrick on 75 minutes from a great through ball from Liam Pullen.

Pullen and Saxton interchange of passes finished up with Box who coolly rounded the keeper to net his fourth. Southmead did manage a second goal on 90 minutes when Rob Sivers lobbed the keeper from a very tight angle.
